Better than New

Greenwood Silo specializes in quality rebuilt structures. They don’t simply move a worn-out silo from one location to another. Greenwood Silo refurbishes old Harvestore silos to a better than new state. Peak performance is archived through innovative equipment and tooling to produce the most nutritious forage for your livestock.

Our Process

First we dismantle the used silo, handling and stacking the sheets, carefully numbering every part. Then all the sheets are brought to our facility and rigidly inspected, only quality sheets are used and rebuilt into your silo. All the sheets from a silo is kept together. Defective sheets are replace with quality ones from stock. Each sheet gets a thorough acid washing to remove grime and unsightly streaks. The last step before the silo is raised is a Citro treatment to remove extra sealer and other debris from the sheets and rings. This gives the sheets like new shine.

The refurbishing process:

  • Dismantle existing silo and stack sheets
  • Transport back to our facility
  • Inspect sheets for quality and discard imperfect sheets.
  • Sheets are numbered and put into inventory
  • Before installation sheets are given an acid bath
  • Sheets are given a Citro treatments to remove old sealer

After your silo is erected and the roof is mounted, all the needed equipment is installed as in the unloader, the Greenline Drive, floor plates, CO2 kit, breather bags, Green Alert System and more is installed to make your old silo better than new. Your old Silo is rejuvenated.
